Welcome to Of Death and Feathers!

Aniela is a soldier for The Order, rising through the ranks and making a name for herself. Despite her military success, she is still the black sheep “failure” of her family, the Alaires. When her parents have finally had enough with her rebellious behavior and intervene, everything Aniela has worked for is suddenly taken from her in an instant.

Desperate to prove herself and do her family name proud, Aniela risks everything. After overhearing confidential information about a series of disappearances of both towns people and lower-ranked soldiers, she finds her chance. Determined to solve the mystery and refusing to let something as fickle as death stop her, Aniela breaks out and kidnaps Luna, an alleged necromancer set for execution. Unfortunately everything that can go wrong does so almost immediately. Now stuck as a criminal with a captive that is not what she was said to be, Aniela is forced to adapt as her loyalties and beliefs are tested.
